Do You Own Hidden Treasure?
They say that everything old is new again. That is certainly true if you are looking for things to sell on eBay for a little bit of extra money. The fact is, there is a huge market out there starving for the vintage clothing that is currently being stashed away in attics around the world.
If you don’t believe that, just take a look at what has sold on eBay recently. One of my favorite ways to pass the time online is to look for oddball things that sell really well on eBay. It is hard to miss how popular vintage clothing has become. The “vintage” category under clothing routinely contains items that have sold for hundreds of dollars. Many of these items were probably existing in cedar chests in someone’s home just a few weeks ago.
Now, not every old piece of clothing does as well as another. A vintage leather jacket will do better than most of the old jeans you were wearing back in the 1990s, but it is still worth it for most people to take the time to check things out. If you happen to be the proud owner of an old Hawaiian shirt, you might be sitting on some cash. Likewise, if you have outgrown the shirts you used to wear, there are plenty of willing buyers for gently used Ralph Lauren items.
The list goes on and on. Everything from old hats to the shoes someone wore back in the eighties and then threw into a box has a decent shot to get sold online. The only way to know for sure if what you have is worth anything is to do a little research and then possibly spend about thirty five cents to get it listed for a week. It is worth a shot and it costs less than a lottery ticket!
