If your home has lots of open spaces and large stretches of empty walls, or maybe just want to add a new piece of furniture to your home, either way console tables are the perfect idea. Original console tables would have been fixed to the walls and only had two legs. They would have been used as display tables to show off things like trophies and other items of pride. More recently they have become a “catch all” for everything from car keys to hats and the daily mail next to the front door. If you have a particularly small space to fill make sure that you take measurement before you go out and be sure to leave a few inches either size of the table so it can be moved in and out easily. Also, if you are going to use the table to sit a lamp on, then make sure the plug sockets are close by.
