The Best Reasons to use Plastic Mugs
When you are at home sipping coffee or tea, it is always best to use a normal, ceramic mug. While this is all good in the comfort of your kitchen or living room, what about when you are outside or in the car? In these cases, you want to get yourself a good plastic mug. Although some people do take their kitchen coffee mugs in the car or outside for a walk, this isn’t such a good idea. First of all, normal coffee mugs don’t have tops on them, so when you walk the coffee or tea is going to spill out and burn your hand. You’ll be lucky to even drink half of the cup!
The second reason why they are not so good is because you bang or drop mugs a lot more often outside of your home. One good knock and a ceramic mug will be history. For this reason, plastic mugs are a much better idea. Let’s take a look at the different types of mugs available:
The first type is your standard plastic coffee mug. It has a screw on top, a small hole to drink through slowly without spilling it all over yourself when you hit a bump in the road, and good handle to hold onto. Keep in mind that the handle isn’t really necessary. In fact, these mugs will fit into the cup holder of a car much better without one. The drawback is that they won’t be so easy to hold onto.
The second type of plastic mug is not for hot things. Many people like to drink beer outside, and the last thing you want to do is carry around a glass that can break. While beer bottles are made to be pretty durable, glasses are thin and crack easily. If you are going to drink beer outside at a barbecue, while camping, or at some other occasion, it is best to use a plastic beer mug to keep your beer cold. You can even put the mug inside the bar fridge a couple of hours beforehand and it will be frosty cold!
