Using Decorative Pillows In A Modern Way
Decorative pillows are not something new. Decorative pillows or throw pillows are a great way to accent pieces of furniture and parts of your home that would otherwise be bare. They bring a nice homey feel to the house and help add that finishing touch that every room needs. Decorative pillows are often used traditionally but you can also use them in a more modern way.

To use decorative or throw pillows in a modern way, try placing them on a window seat or across the foot of the bed. This is a unique idea and you are still provided with cushioning and support. You don’t need a ton of decorative pillows on the bed. Even a few pillows help for a splash of color or for comfort when laying down or lounging in your room.
Throw pillows can even work in the kitchen. If you have an island, get some bar stools and put a throw pillow on each. You can take them off if you want to entertain guests for drinks at night, and put them on in the morning for the kids to have breakfast or when getting work done through the day.
